Course Description
The course will introduce you to graphic preparation with practice in desktop publishing, planning, platemaking, proofing and image previewing, It will also develop skills in page make-up for multi-page production as well as individual elements such as posters, or CD cover inserts, etc.
It provides a comprehensive practical grounding in all aspects of pre-press, presspreparation, print and post-printing processes. The programme also looks closely at digital media
production.
It provides an introduction
to printing processes and applications as well as preparing for the press, offset lithographic printing and
screen imaging. You will also study information systems, typography, colour applications, materials
technology, and health and safety issues. Contextual Studies offer a broader view of printing and graphic media industries.
